The Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) aims to significantly reduce Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses in the power distribution sector through large-scale modernization and system strengthening. The scheme focuses on minimizing technical losses caused by aging infrastructure while improving overall reliability and voltage quality.
CREW is executing the RDSS works for the State DISCOM, Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL), on a turnkey basis across 15 packages covering the following districts:
Virudhunagar | Tirupathur | Vellore | Salem | Cuddalore | Villupuram | Tirunelveli | Tuticorin
The project delivers efficient, reliable, and loss-optimized power distribution networks.
Creation of dedicated agricultural feeders through the establishment of new 11/22 kV bays, installation of distribution transformers (DTs), upgradation of HT/LT lines, and laying of AB, covered, and underground cables.
Implementation of HVDS to reduce technical losses, improve voltage regulation, and enhance supply reliability.
Separation and relocation of double DTs mounted on a single structure, including conversion to suitably rated lower-capacity DTs wherever required.
Modernization and strengthening of existing 33 kV lines through conductor upgradation and pole insertion.
End-to-end turnkey solutions for substations, from concept to commissioning. CREW possesses the required expertise and experience to execute EPC substation projects and has successfully completed multiple EPC substations encompassing design and engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning.
